These colors are dyed as variegateds and reskeined to give you a fun idea of how they will work up! The photo shows this dye lot of Posh Princess re-skeined on the left, and from 3 years ago on the right without being re-skeined.

On the left is “Rainbow Dalmatian Plantation” in Coquette Sock, held double to make a DK/Worsted and creates a marled effect.

On the right is “Toxic Rainbow” in Squshy DK held single.

This is an example of how a different weight and gauge can change the micro-rainbow stripe effect from the DK version, to a faux stripe of rainbow against the background color (in this case ultra violet).

Most of our Rainbows have a rainbow spectrum and a background/main color. Toxic Rainbow’s is ultra violet, Rainbow Dalmatian’s is white with black speckles. Sootsprites <3 Rainbows is dyed differently, as is 80’s Rainbow. These two colors are an even rainbow across the whole skein!

Shown in our FREE Mrs. Weale’s Kwik Knit Kap Pattern, this photo shows how holding two strands of a fingering weight yarn together, from two different balls of the same color in FINGERING weight, and lining up the colors, can create this amazing color pooling effect!

This example shows the same color, same yarn base, and same pattern! The only difference is a slight alteration in technique! In this sample the yarn was held double from both ends of the same skein, caked into a center pull ball. You can see it causes more of a marled/tweedie effect!
