All About the Pattern
This hat makes the perfect cozy beanie for anyone! The charming cables compliment funky yarn colorways, natural yarns, and anything in between! Knit it up with a cozy worsted yarn, or double your sock yarn to transform it into a warm, worsted weight! This pattern is simple for anyone new to cables, and is still a fun project for the experienced cable fanatic. Knit away, and enjoy!
Yarn:
Shown knit in one skein of Bumblebee Acres Farm’s Coquette Sock
The yarn is DOUBLED to give the pattern the plush effect of a worsted yarn, and the lovely variegated color.
400 yards of fingering weight yarn, doubled (two strands knit together), to create a worsted yarn
or 180 yards of worsted/aran yarn.

Bumble Worsted
Sassquash Aran
Marshmallow Worsted
Coquette Sock (held double)*
Spun Sugar (one strand) with one strand of any sock yarn!
* Holding yarn double helps spread out color pooling- a great way to use a variegated yarn and see less pooling in your project!
Needles & Notions:
US 6 or 7 Circular Needles for hat or double pointed needles
US 8, 9, or 10 Circular or DPN Needles for body and decrease

Finished Size:
One Size fits most adults.
Hat can be adapted to make it slouchier or more snug depending on needle sizes used. You should be fine with any worsted weight yarn.
Stitch Glossary:
C3F - Cable 3 Front, Knit 3, Knit 3 off cable
K - Knit
P - Purl
K2TOG - Knit 2 stitches together
P2TOG - Purl 2 stitches together
M1 - Make One, picking up the yarn between two stitches, twisting it, and knitting -Creating a stitch.
